Recently the Intertribal Agriculture Council was selected as one of ten organizations worldwide to compete in the Lever for Change - Racial Equity by 2030 challenge. Over the past few months, we’ve utilized this opportunity to critically assess what a Racially Equitable world in Indian Country might look like.
We all know that the COVID-19 Pandemic has highlighted the faulty structure of food systems across the country. So, we’ve decided to go back to our cultural roots. We believe that Racial Equity can only be achieved by re-indigenizing our food systems. Positioning them again at the heart of our Native economies.
We are seeking your input. We need help quantifying the present state of equity in our food, agriculture, and lending systems. We have put together a 30 question, multiple choice survey, and we are seeking your support in completing the survey.
To express our appreciation, we are raffling 3 Travel Scholarships to attend the 2022 IAC Annual Conference in Las Vegas, NV. To enter, you simply have to complete the survey and indicate your name and contact information at the end of the survey. FYI: This survey is completely anonymous and your contact information will not be attached to any of your survey answers.
